To deepen this relationship
you should:
Maintain regular intake of the Bible (King James Bible) -
For someone new in Christ, you need to be fed Scripture truths. Even as a new born child must be fed until he is able to feed himself, so you need to attach yourself to someone who will feed you spiritually and then teach you how to find for yourself the answers to continuing daily problems.
Talk to God in prayer every day -
Our God and Creator made us in His image to have fellowship with us. We are not meant to be alone either. Talking to Him in prayer, sharing our fears, confiding our joys, rejoicing in our newly found promises and truths, laying forth our concerns for others and our desires to serve Him greatly pleases Him.
Tell others about your new faith in Christ -
The important thing is that you let others know about your new faith in Christ. How can we not speak forth our new found life, joy and peace. What a thrill it is to begin to see the fullness of a life full of purpose and reward. YET, remember to do it with carefulness and kindness. Others need time to see the changes as they begin to take place in your life. They need time to understand what all of this means.
Worship, Fellowship and Serve with other Christians -
Join a church where Christ is preached, and where you can make open demonstration of your changed life through the immersion of baptism. To try to worship alone can lead you back to a very lonely life. The Bible tells us that we are to gather ourselves together with other believers. We need their fellowship, encouragement, and teaching. We also need opportunities to learn to love others, to serve others, and to minister to their needs. All of this is part of Jesus's commission and two great commandments.
